6 YouTubers You Want To Be Your Bestie
HeyParis

Spending time with friends and loved ones is such an integral and important part of life and growing up. Having a solid group of pals is often the best or only distraction from an otherwise hectic or stressful existence. Unfortunately, as we grow older, we sometimes find that our chaoses don’t always align. Yet, the need to chat and chill with someone doesn’t just go away.

The beautiful thing about the internet is that you can always find something that meets your needs -- even pseudo-companionship in place of a night out on the town. If that type of quick entertainment is what you seek, get into these YouTubers:

1. Chris Tompson, SupDaily06

Chris is that sweet and sensitive guy friend you have a not-so-secret crush on, but you’d never actually go for it for fear of ruining that nearly once-in-a-lifetime shot of having a genuine, platonic relationship.

His Tinder Terror series is especially hilarious with it’s recipe of one-parts relatable and two-parts glad-that-hasn’t-happened-to-me (yet).

2. Jessica Vazquez, JessiSmiles

Jessi is virtually everything you wish you were and everything you wish you weren’t rolled up into one dynamic personality -- awkward, funny, unlucky, beautiful, on-the-verge-of-developing-a lazy-eye, successful…

Her candid way of storytelling is nothing short of charming and her willingness to speak out on more serious topics (like surviving sexual assault) makes her the most rounded BFF you could ever dream of.

3. Paris, HeyParis

The first and most important thing that you need to know about this lovely lady is that her username was originally “IlikeVodka” (and still is on Instagram and Snapchat). Enough said, right?

She’s only 22 and yet she’s experienced a lifetime’s worth of crazy exes and best friends. Messy, petty, entertaining, Paris is your token wild child with just a dash of class to even out her sass.

4. Megan, MegCat

Ah, Meg. She takes things a little too seriously, and her reactions may sometimes seem over the top, but for some reason you just come back for more. You don’t want to love her, but she reminds you so much of yourself you have to give her a pass.

In all actuality she might be the sacrificial lamb of whinedom -- she whines so that we might not have to.

5. Tana Mongeau, Tana Mongeau

Tana is a bit of an oxymoron -- profane, but really calm and collected, traditionally feminine in her aesthetic but kind of boyish in her attitude and mannerisms.

Tana’s just a down-to-earth girl making her way through the world like the rest of us -- just trying to find a good eyebrow pencil and coupons for free Uber rides.

6. Grace Ajilore, Grace Ajilore

Where would any of us be without that judge-y friend who isn’t afraid to critique all of our bad behaviors? Grace may not be afraid to step on a few feelings when she tells it like it is, but she hands out good advice like free samples at Bath and Body Works, so count this friendship as a win. (Bonus: She does great accents!)

Give these YouTubers a "Like and Subscribe" and you'll never have to socialize outside of your house again.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
