Don't leave without them!

There are many things a college student doesn’t leave their dorm without; keys, phone, wallet, etc. Now that winter is about to hit us head on, there are a few things every college kid should keep on them, or remember to use, at all times.

1. Lip balm

Odds are, your lips are already chapped. Invest in some quality lip balm, not just the expensive egg-shaped ones. Brands like Carmex and Blistex have some quality lip balms that won’t leave your lips dry. You can find a 0.35 oz tube of Carmex at Walmart for just $0.98!

2. Tech gloves

It cannot be stressed enough how important a good pair of gloves can be in the winter, so do yourself a favor and get some that you can still use your phone with! These black Spyder gloves are $35 on Amazon.

3. Vitamin D supplements

It’s not uncommon for people who experience long winter months to be Vitamin D deficient, so it’s a good idea to take a supplement daily. You can get a bottle of 120 tablets for $4.88 from Walmart.

4. Hand lotion

Everybody hates peeling and dry skin, so make sure you always have some lotion on hand (haha, get it?). One moisturizing and dermatologist recommended product is Neutrogena’s Norwegian Formula hand cream, which can be found at Walgreens for $4.99.

5. Snow boots

You’ll always need good snow boots for trekking across campus to class every day. Lucky for you, the boots pictured are just $19.99 at Target!

6. Hand warmers

This one’s pretty self explanatory. You can either splurge and buy a rechargeable hand warmer for $34.95 from L.L. Bean, or you can buy the $0.99 packets of from Walmart. Either way, they’re good investments.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
