Finals week is scary. Especially when you're a freshman and it's your first time going through it.It's filled with being cooped up in the library with all your books studying for hours, barely any sleep and hardly any time to eat a good meal.
But after all the chaos, we're finally free for winter break. However, there are some good ways to prepare for finals which will hopefully lessen the weight on your shoulders.
1. Get PLENTY of sleep
You may want to stay up way past your usual
2. Dress for comfort
Yes, there may be that cute boy in your math lecture that you don't want to be caught looking bad in front of, but think about it. It's finals week. It's a whole week of studying and exams. No one will care about what you look like, not even yourself.
3. Stock up on snacks
You may be stuck in the library or in your dorm studying hours at a time. Stuff your backpack with some of your favorite snacks to keep you energized and to get you through until your next meal.
4. Take breaks
It is perfectly OK to stop studying and take a moment to breathe or check up on your social media. Studying can be draining and tiring, reward yourself with a nice coffee break or some Hulu.
5. Talk to your professors
Finals week is a lot different in college than in high school. Professors may not get to know you as well as your high school teachers did, but they will still gladly help you with any questions that you may have about the exam.
6. Relax... break is near!
Just think... after all the stress, tears and sleepless nights that comes with finals week, we finally all get to kick back at home for a whole month with no school! Take a deep breath, you are capable of it! Just remember that break is right around the corner. Good luck on your finals and have an amazing winter break!
