While this list may vary slightly from campus to campus, there generally are 6 generic types of people you encounter during your first week at school, whether it is your first year at the school of you’ve been there for a while already.

1. The Straight-A No-nonsense Students

They have all their school supplies ready and in tow, have already purchased all their materials for their classes, and are the first ones in class. Unfailingly. You'll ususally find them in the front of the classroom, color-coded post-it notes in front of them, asking the questions no one else thinks of.

2. The Fashionistas

Always dressed to impress, these individuals never come to school looking like they just rolled out of bed. They always put in extra time and effort to look good.

3. The Athletes/Workoutaholics

These people love working out and are not ashamed of it. Even though many of them will dressed in regular t-shirt and jeans ensemble, a lot of them sport their workout clothes around campus.

4. The Social Butterfly

The outgoing ones are usually the ones who initiate conversation with a total stranger. They'll find a way to strike up conversation with whoever, and they tend to have infectious personalities, and radiate confidence and positivity. You never see this person with just one group of friends. They're everywhere with everyone.

5. The One-Timers/Temporary Friends

You know when you go to a class and you meet that one person that you strike up a pretty decent conversation with, and when you leave class you feel great, like you just made a new friend, but when you come back to that class, it's like that conversation never happened? Maybe you even last through the semester, and the next semester it's like they never even existed. Yup, that's this person. It happens quite often, though most people just move on from it.

6. The Boarders

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
