Being involved with theater is a lot more stressful and involved them people think. If you've been in theater for awhile you know the struggles of staying up late, trying to organize other people and yourself, and crazy rehearsal schedules. There's a few common thoughts that come to your mind:

1. NAPPING

Clearly I look like that when I'm napping. Seriously though, I would probably be more well rested and an overall happier human being if I got more sleep. Theater is a lot more time consuming than people think it is, you have crazy rehearsal schedules where you might be up until 10 pm. Sleep is VERY important.

2. Eating

Now, to be clear: WE DO EAT (most of the time) before rehearsals. Just...not well. Between my class schedule and work schedule, I find myself with like 30 minutes to eat dinner and get the theater on time. So what ends up happening? I go to the dinning hall, grab something light, and inhale it so I can be there on time. If I didn't have hundreds of hours of rehearsals, I could probably eat a meal and actually take time to enjoy it (as much as one can enjoy dinning hall food.)

3. Watching more Grey's!

Now, if you read my previous article, you know of my love-hate relationship with this show. HOWEVER, I would watch this show all over again and not having rehearsals would grant me that opportunity.

4. Doing homework at a reasonable time

Being in rehearsals, like mentioned before, theater is time consuming. So, I sometimes have to bring my homework to rehearsals. I get it done on time and fully completed but if I wasn't in rehearsals all the time, I could probably do my homework right after class instead of trying to get it done in between scenes or at odd hours of the night.

5. Having fewer mental breakdowns

Not only is theater time consuming, it's STRESSFUL! Sometimes, i have so much on my plate that I don't know how to process it and every now and then I just have a attitude with everyone. This isn't because I'm mad at THEM, it's just so many jobs working in theater that it can become too much. Sometimes, you just need a day for mental health.

6. Spending time with my roommates.

These are the goofs I live with. Honestly, I see them pretty much all the time because I live with them. However, sometimes plans fall short because of rehearsal schedule and showtimes. If I didn't have all this rehearsal time, I'd probably spend about 99% of my newfound time with them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
