6 Foods That Don’t Go Together, But Work Together

They really do go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong.

We've all tried unconventional combinations only to be surprised by one that works. It just makes sense and then you wonder what you did before you were introduced. Naturally, you want to tell the world. It's kind of like when you finally get to meet a cute, nice boy and all you want is for your single friends to find boys as nice. But what I'm talking about isn't boys. It's something much better than boys; it's food. There's no further explanation as to why food is better.

1. Frosty's and French fries

Not only is it a combination of hot and cold, it’s sweet and salty. It’s everything we want in fast food and it’s not even a special on the menu.

2. Pizza and ranch

It’s very possible that when we eat pizza with ranch, it reminds us of vegetables and ranch; by eating it with pizza, we somehow think it’s healthy. Oooor because it’s really good. Who's to say? Just imagine a classic piece of pizza – thin crust or deep dish – and dip it in something so complementary that you’re forever changed. Changed as a person and changed the way you eat pizza. (Note: also applicable to both Bagel Bites and Pizza Rolls).

3. Hawaiian pizza - specific ingredient: pineapple

Pineapple on pizza? Like, pineapple the fruit and pizza the slice of heaven? Yes. It’s the most beautiful combination. Just before you bite into a doughy bed framed by crust, topped with a sauce comforter and mozzarella accents, you sink into the pillows of pineapple. Sweet, unique pineapple. Then, right after… the rest is too explicit to be stated.

4. Egg on a burger

What’s a great breakfast food? Eggs. What’s a great dinner food? Burgers. Put them both together and you know you’ve got the best of both worlds *Hannah Montana laughs*. But seriously, it’s all you think they’d be together. It’s like when two celebrities get together and it’s beautiful, like Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

5. Chocolate and anything

I know you’re thinking of a list of what goes great with chocolate—strawberries (fruit in general), marshmallows, pancakes, and pretzels, even bacon. They’re such a classy and timeless combination; one might compare this combination to Audrey Hepburn.

6. Chicago style popcorn

Cheese and caramel? Pass. But when you put cheese popcorn in the same bag with caramel popcorn, we all know that bag doesn’t stand a chance. It’s the perfect snack (or meal) satisfying both your sweet and creamy needs and your salty and cheesy needs. It’s a special treat every time you eat it regardless of how often you eat it—some more often than others. I don’t judge.

I'm sure I missed a few, but I know you have to be craving something at this point. My nose would grow if I said my mouth wasn't watering a little while writing this. I conclude in saying I wish you the best of luck on finding your perfect combo. Like they always say, there's plenty of fish in the sea.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
