Wonder why it always takes girls FOREVER to get ready? How hard is it to shower, fix your hair, put on makeup and get dressed? Well, if you're not a girl, you don't understand all the things that go on while we get ready to go out. We want to look good because you never know who you are going to see!
1. We take LONG showers.
It may just be me, but I take close to 25 to 30 minutes in the shower. Why, you may ask? Well, I listen to music in the shower, and of course, I sing in the shower thinking I'm Beyonce. I mean, come on — what girl doesn't do that?! Also, long, thick hair takes forever to shampoo and condition.
2. After, we have to check ALL social media sites.
After we shower, we go lie down on our beds and check Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat because we're too lazy to get ready. And we occasionally drop our phones on our faces, too.
3. Blowing drying our hair sucks!
It may not look like we have a lot of hair, but we really do. It takes me a good 10 to 15 minutes to blow dry my hair! Blow drying our hair just makes it a mess before we even style our hair. After I'm done blow drying, my hair basically turns into a 'fro.
4. Whether curling or straightening, our hair has to be perfect.
First, we have to decide if we're going to straighten or curl our hair. For me, it depends if its going to rain or not. If it's going to rain, my hair will mostly like be curled since that is what it is naturally, and when it's not going to rain, my hair will be straight. Hair takes a long time to style if you have a lot of it. Of course, every piece of hair has to be either straight or curly, too. We can't just neglect a few pieces here and there.
5. Putting on makeup takes about 10 minutes.
We really don't like putting on makeup every day, so if we don't have to, we won't. Putting on makeup takes time if we really care how we look. If we don't care, it won't take us as long! We have to highlight and contour, put on blush, powder, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara and sometimes lipstick.
6. Picking out the perfect outfit is difficult.
And finally, picking out an outfit that looks great on us. We go to the closet full of clothes and complain how we never have anything to wear. We try on many different outfits on before making a decision. This is why we are always late meeting up with people because we simply don't know what outfit to wear.
