Are you finding yourself halfway through the summer and at the end of your Netflix queue? Well, of course you haven't, who ever reaches the end of their Netflix queue? Either way, maybe you should try watching "Gravity Falls!" Maybe you think you're too old to watch cartoons, but here is a list of reasons why you should tune in to Disney XD's Gravity Falls:

1. It's hilarious

There are plenty of funny TV shows out there, but Gravity Falls has a special kind of humor that is very relatable and still appropriate for kids. It's goofy! There are puns galore! The jokes are reminiscent of childhood in their playful, but clever punchlines. Will definitely have you ROFL'ing. Also, it has a plethora of pop culture references!

2. The awesome sibling relationship of Mabel and Dipper

Mabel and Dipper Pines are 12 year-old twins that are thick as thieves. They are pretty different, but they don't let their differences get between them. They openly express their love for each other and always have each other's backs. They sometimes fight, but in the end, they will make sacrifices to make each other happy.

3. Weird and mysterious things!

This show is all about the strange, supernatural shenanigans that quietly go unnoticed in the sleepy town of Gravity Falls. There are plenty of mysteries to solve and conspiracies to uncover. For example, what exactly is Grunckle Stan hiding? And who wrote that journal Dipper found? Maybe you can figure it out by cracking all of the ciphers hidden at the end of each episode?? Hmmmmmmmm.

4. Accurate depictions of childhood

Mabel and Dipper are believable 12 year-olds with awkward cracking boy voices, intense crushes and all. Mabel is boy-crazy and Dipper tries his hardest to be taken seriously, but he's, like, twelve, right?

5. The feels!!!!!

If you decide to check it out, thinking that its just a cute kid's cartoon you're watching to pass time... beware. The feelings will sneak up on you unexpectedly! When (spoiler alert!) plot things start happening, you will definitely start to feel... feel-y things, like a sudden appreciation for your own siblings. Yikes.

6. The voice acting!

Jason Ritter and Kristen Schaal are the voices of Dipper and Mabel Pines respectively, and lemme tell ya, they are spot on with the characters! Not only do the dynamic duo have awesome voice acting, but there are also a number of great voice cameos, too! Neil DeGrasse Tyson and Nick Offerman briefly star as characters, and J. K. Simmons has recently joined the cast as a recurring character for season 2!

If these 6 reasons listed aren't enough to convince you to start watching "Gravity Falls," maybe this adorable gif of Mabel's pet Waddles will!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
