When you are approaching your last and final year of college, your emotions seem to be a little everywhere. One minute you're excited and the next you're terrified.
You kind of like the idea of being in college forever because that means you are surrounded by friends and less responsibility, but you also want to make money and be done with all the late night studying, and let's be honest all the late night drinking. You are finally ready to break out of the quasi-adult lifestyle and hit the real world (or you think you are).
So....Here's to all my fellow college seniors out there who are probably experiencing all these feels right now.
Reaction #1:
Yaya! You finally made to your last year of school!! You never thought you'd see the light at the end of this 17-year long tunnel of education, but now you can! You are one step closer to your diploma and your first real paycheck. Bring on the money!!
Reaction #2:
What do you mean I only have one more year left? That's funny, I don't believe you. I'll just make myself do an extra year of school because I'm never leaving!
Reaction #3:
Wait I don't even know how to be an adult? The real world seems scary. How will I get a job? How will I pay rent? Why didn't college teach me how to balance a checkbook?
Reaction #4:
Deep breathe in, deep breathe out... It is all going to be okay. I can do this. Look at everyone else in the world who has managed to figure out adult life.
Reaction #5:
Cue the water works for every time someone brings up graduation in the next 9 months. Happy or sad tears? You usually will never know because your emotions are a little haywire.
Reaction #6:
IT'S TIME TO PARTAYYY! Bring on the best year ever! Last year = BEST YEAR! Someone invites you to go out on a Monday? You say yes because it's your last year and that means you have to do everything!
So, let's raise our glass to our last year at the best university. No matter how excited or sad we are about the end of this chapter in our lives, we should know that the next one will be just as good (maybe even better).
