6 Pros and Cons of Graduating College Early

Pros

1. The idea of being done with school is amazing.

2. No more paying for tuition. If you don't graduate early, will you have to take out a loan? If you have loans already, then less debt for you.

3. You can start building your resume at an early age. This way, by the time you are older and further in your career, you are already a top dog in your company with a lot of experience under your belt.

4. You can start pursuing a Master's degree earlier.

5. Employers will be impressed with an early college graduate. It makes you look intelligent, diligent and hard-working, and responsible.

6. The sooner you graduate, the sooner you can start making real money.

Cons

1. Once school is finished, you enter the very real adult world.

2. If you don't like your job in the real world, you can't just quit on a whim. It is best to stay with companies at least a year before quitting.

3. Less time spent with friends who are still in college. FOMO is so real.

4. Less time being a young, care-free college student who just wants to be lazy (ahem.... do her/his own thing).

5. You have less time to figure out what kind of job or career you want.

6. You have less time to add things to your resume like a minor, another major, or any extracurricular activities.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
