Sometimes it is not easy finding the perfect movie to watch on Netflix. You are given SO many options it can put your mind in a whirl. I have been there time and again and sometimes all the searching is gone to waste on a film I did not even enjoy. Yet there are times where I am so glad I took the plunge. So this list is movies perfect your July movie hunt in every category. Enjoy and happy watching!

1. Lila & Eve (2015)

Thriller category: PLOT TWIST CENTRAL RIGHT HERE! It stars Jennifer Lopez and the one and only Viola Davis... as if you need more reasons to watch this on-the-edge-of-your-seat film.

2. Cake (2014)

Drama category: Jennifer Aniston breaks your heart over and over again in this tale of tragic loss and healing. Long gone are the days of our quirky and sassy Rachel Green.

3. Moana (2016)

Musical category: If you haven't seen this Disney film yet then... WHAT ARE YOU DOING??? Catchy songs, adventure and an unstoppable female lead... what more could you want?

4. Audrie & Daisy (2016)

Documentary category: Follow the real life story of two girls with similar sexual assault stories. Two different towns. Two different families. Two different outcomes. Have your tissues handy.

5. 13 Going on 30 (2004)

Romance category: A classic! Get swept up in this story of being 13 one day then magically turning 30 the next. And it stars Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo? YES PLEASE.

6. Revenge of the Bridesmaids (2010)

Comedy category: A good frenemy comedy is all I need to boost my mood. And when a wedding that needs some destroying is involved? Even better.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
