It’s that time of year again: binge watching season. School is winding down, finals are almost over, and in our free time (that we will now have) we can spend hours on Netflix watching Netflix originals, Indie films, and guilty pleasures. Unfortunately, after awhile it feels like you’ve watched everything there is to watch on Netflix. However, that's not the case. Netflix is an endless sea of treasures, some phenomenal, and yes, some ... very bad.

Once finals are over and you have time to kick back and relax, check out some of these Netflix gems that you may or may not have heard of:

1. "Short Term 12"

You might have heard a friend gush about this movie, but other than that, you haven’t heard much about it. It’s a tear-jerking drama about the employees and kids of a group home.

2. "Stuck in Love"

Sometimes we push the people who we love the most away. "Stuck in Love" is a quasi coming-of-age story of two siblings and their father. The film is all-too relatable in the way it shows relationships, falling out of love, and falling back in love.

3. "Adult World"

A poet chasing her dreams of being a poet has to "do what it takes" to achieve her dreams. For those who have a passion for the arts or have a dream or field that isn't the easiest to break into, you'll relate to this movie.

4. "Before I Disappear"

This movie is for one when you're feeling more down. It's a tale of the depressed Richie as he watches over his sister's daughter. Sometimes you have to put your problems aside for someone else, and sometimes that's not always the easiest thing to do. A lot of talk about suicide in this movie, so if that's a sensitive topic for you, tread lightly.

5. "6 Years"

Ever been in a long-term relationship? Especially for the people who are high school sweethearts and still dating through college, this might hit home. Just because you're with someone for a long time, doesn't mean the problems go away after the years of being together. Sometimes it takes years for the problems to come up.

6. "Dope"

A geek who gets caught in a bad situation falls down a slippery slope. A profound story with a pretty good deeper message behind the fun and games, "Dope" is great for those interested in movies about drugs, minorities, fitting in, love, and classic stereotypes.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
