Gentleman for a very long time the clean cut look was the way to go, but it all ended when a gritty invasion of beards came along. Today you can see most of your fellow men walking down the street sporting a beard, and they too like your fellow men come in all shapes and sizes. But no matter how much my fellow men claim to know about beards they always fall victim to these 6 most common beard myths:
Myth 1 : BEARDS ARE UNATTRACTIVE
Gentleman to contrary belief no beard is unattractive, instead they make you more attractive.
Myth 2 : BEARDS ARE DIRTY
The only thing that is dirty is your personal hygiene, scientific studies have proven that just like the hair follicles that cover your head, and protect you from germs, bacteria, etc. so do the hair follicles on your face, with the exception of a 70,000 hair follicle difference.
Myth 3 : BEARDS GROW FASTER IF YOU SHAVE
Gentleman this is the most common beard myth that most men fall victim to, if you believe that your facial hair is going to grow faster if you shave it is complete BULLOCKS! mind my English. Unlike the hair on top of your head facial is different, the patches in your beard will not begin to thicken if you castrate the hair from your face. Beard growth is opposite to hair on growth on the head, unlike hair growth on the top of your head beards become thicker as you age and become fuller.
Myth 4 : BEARDS ARE ITCHY
There is only one reason and one reason alone as to why you might have an itchy beard, and that my good sir is that you don't moisturize your beard. Beard hair just like your actual hair needs conditioning, as your beard thicken and grows longer begin to apply beard oil to soften the facial hair and comb it as to give it a more refined look.
Myth 5 : FULL BEARDS CAN GROW THICK WITHIN 2-3 WEEKS
Wrong! Unless if you are genetically pre-disposed to have the beard of a Viking most beards will take an average of 2-4 months to grow, to grow a longer and thicker beard just grow it out.
Myth 6 : BEARDS ARE DON'T LAND YOU JOBS
Gentleman unless you are looking for work at the American teenage staple clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch, you are more than welcome to grow a beard and it isn't only restricted to the lumberjack life, just don't make it too manicured and manscaped, or too unruly and scraggly. A well groomed beard can do wonders for you.
Gentleman beards are your face's way of saying "boy I've given you a facial garden, tend to it." Take care of your beards gentleman let them grow until they can't, and to grow an affective beard eat healthier, pump more iron, apply some beard oil even if you got a sorry excuse for a beard, do something to prolong the life of your stubble, and don't fall victim to these 6 commonly believed myths again.
