6 Lush Masks You Need To Try
Foxers

I remember the day I walked into Lush for the first time like it was yesterday…

No, I’m just kidding. Anyways, every visit to Lush is one I enjoy. The products I've tried by Lush thus far have been amazing. They can be a bit pricey, but it’s well worth it. Everything that comes from Lush is handmade and vegan, as well as made with fresh ingredients. So fresh that you might be tempted to eat it! But let’s have some sense here people, don’t do it. The company has such a variety of incredible products and one of their most popular, in my opinion, are their masks. Below, I’ve listed some of Lush’s body and face masks, along with their fresh face masks that I’d personally tried myself. Check them out.

1. Cup O’ Coffee: $10.95 - $19.95

Want the spark of energy that coffee offers without having to actually drink it? Luckily, I have answered your prayers, because this mask does exactly that. As soon as you open the container, the aroma of fresh coffee hits you right in the face, instantly waking you up. This mask is great for gently scrubbing away dull skin and a revealing a glowing complexion and penetrating your pores to get rid of those annoying impurities from head to toe.

2. Mask of Magnaminty: $13.95 – 25.95

Living in New York, you are bound to have pores filled with disgusting debris. Just like we need to deep condition our hair, we need to deep condition our face. Mask of Magnaminty will help deep clean pores, exfoliate, calm, and soothe your skin with a cooling tingly feeling from the added peppermint oil. Anything with mint in it is a plus for me. As Lush would say, it’s the “ultimate face mask.”

3. Don’t Look at Me: $10.95

Feeling a little bit dull? Well, Don’t Look at Me is the perfect pick me up. Not only do you get a great exfoliation, but a cleanse as well. Revealing bright, moisturized, and toned beautiful skin. You see instant results, and I don’t say that often about anything. Who doesn’t want to walk around with a blue face? Definitely a fun mask to wear. This has forsure become a beauty staple of mine.

4. Cosmetic Warrior: $7.95

Cosmetic Warrior was my introduction to the world of Lush. Moving from the South to the dirt filled air of New York caused a lot of unwanted little mountains on my face. The mask does what it says, it fights off all those pesky little breakouts without too much effort. Only down side is that its filled with garlic... not a pleasant smell.

5. BB Seaweed: $7.95

To all my sensitive people out there, this one's for you. BB Seaweed is made with aloe vera gel and rose to help calm and soothe the skin with added exfoliation and nourishment from seaweed and grounded almonds. Being in college can cause a lot of stress, which causes your skin to react. So, with this little helper, it will help get your skin back on track making you feel smooth and fresh again.

6. Oatifix: $7.95

Remember I mentioned that you might be tempted to eat the product? Oatifix is the reason why. The smell alone will reel you in. This bad boy right here is filled with bananas, grounded almonds, and oatmeal. It’s literally breakfast on your face. This mask is great for dry, sensitive, and irritated skin. One of my favorite fresh face mask that I’ve repurchased numerous times. Oatifix is a mask you can use year-round, especially during this time of year in NY. It will help nourish tight and dry skin.

P.S.: If you bring in five empty clean containers, you can get a free fresh face mask!

(I know, you can thank me later.)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
