Florida, Mexico, and California are some of the most popular and the best places to spend a wild spring break. Most college students get to spend their spring break partying on a beach, tanning in the sun, and having an incredible vacation. In my case, while my friends are out adventuring in amazing places such as Scotland, I get to spend my spring break at home. While this doesn't sound very exciting at first, I'm actually incredibly lucky to get to spend my spring break relaxing and hanging out with friends/family. Without further ado, here are the best things that happen when you spend all of spring break at home.

1. Binge-watching Netflix

The best part about staying at home is being able to brag to your friends about how many seasons of "The Office" or "Friends" you were able to watch. Nothing beats being able to stay in bed and binge-watch your favorite series on Netflix.

2. Sleeping in

Competing for the best part about going home over break, is being able to sleep in for however long you'd like. What's better than getting more than four hours a sleep per night? Absolutely nothing. It's even better knowing that you have no responsibilities for the day and you can binge-watch on Netflix!

3. Eating home-cooked meals

Dining hall food just doesn't cut it sometimes (or ever!), which is why home-cooked meals are just another amazing part of staying at home for spring break! Nothing is better than an incredibly tasty hot dish or some freshly baked cookies. Plus, then you get to bring back some delicious meals to your dorm/apartment!

4. Compulsively watching your friends Snapchat stories

Not nearly as amazing as sleeping in or binge-watching Netflix, you get the joy to watch all of your friends live it up on their crazy spring break vacations! Try not to get too jealous. I'm sure they would much rather trade places with you.

5. Hanging out with friends

Who doesn't miss their high school friends? I know I most definitely do. Another great perk about staying home: Hanging out with high school friends is incredibly exciting, and it's so much fun to catch up!

6. Hanging out with family

Arguably the greatest part about spending spring break at home, next to binge-watching Netflix and sleeping in, is spending time with your parents, siblings, and pets. There's nothing better. Enjoy your time with family before you have to go back to the realities of college.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
