Now that summer is basically here, I’m constantly searching for cute hairstyles and outfits on Pinterest. I love creating looks with the things I find from the website and using it as inspiration. So this week I decided to share some of my favorite summer looks. Enjoy!

1. Space Buns

For starters I’ll go with space buns. I love the casual, fun look of the tiny twists. They totally say summer to me and they’re perfect to keep all of the hair out of your face. Whether you’re going to the beach or the amusement park, space buns can create the perfect look.

2. Boxer Braids

Of course I had to include the classic boxer braids! These have been super popular for a while and I can see why. Just like the previous hair style, they are great for keeping hair out of your face and they give a super innocent and classy feel. It’s also fun to add something different, (like in the picture below,) and go from one style of braiding to the next.

3. Half Up Top Knot

I love this hairstyle because it’s really versatile. It’s easy to make it casual for a chill date or running errands, but it’s also a simple, elegant look for a formal event. You can also add fun accents like braids or flowers!

4. Ombre

Whether you have short hair or long hair ombre looks good on basically anyone. It’s way more fun than just regular highlights and you can go in any direction with it. It’s super manageable and easy to take care of. I think this is a look that will last for awhile.

5. Pastel

If you’re feeling daring this summer, pastel hair is the way to go. I personally don’t think I could pull off pastel locks, but I give you so much credit if you can! There are so many fun colors to do and depending on what route you take, it can actually end up looking super classy.

6. Short Bob

I’ve just recently started seeing girls in my school with a short bob, and I think it is adorable! I can imagine it’s very maintenance free and I love the effortless look and feel of the cut. I also love the look of some beachy waves incorporated and the style is complete. I don’t think that anybody could go wrong with this look.

I hope I've given you some inspiration for your next trip to your hairdresser, and inspired you to go bold or go home! I always say that life is too short and your hair is something that you can constantly change. Use your hair as something fun to play with and have no limits!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
