6 Christmas Songs To Start The Holiday Season
Christmas Quotes

As of November 1st, it's Christmas for me. I blast the music, hang up twinkle lights in my room, and have Christmas (cinnamon everything) scented candles all over the place. I'm not religious at all, but I love the season. The music is one of my favorite things about the holiday. I love music in general, but there is something about Christmas music that just gets me in the mood for the Holidays. I've compiled a list of the top songs you should listen to this holiday season in my opinion. Some are well known and others are not so much. Break out your hot chocolate, curl up in your favorite blanket, and get ready to listen to some amazing Christmas music!

"All I Want For Christmas Is You" -Mariah Carey

This song is just iconic. I love how upbeat and cheerful it is! Even the covers done by multiple other bands and singers are incredible. You can't really go wrong with this song.

"Christmas Lights" - Daniel Hudson

I found this song after listening to Christmas music for about an hour straight on YouTube and it was a suggested video. I love it so much! I don't know if it's because of the slight 80s sound to it or just the singer's voice, but it's now in my top five favorite Christmas songs.

"Santa Baby" - Eartha Kitt

Don't deny it. This song makes you feel a little dirty, but it's a fun tune to listen to. Whether you're with your significant other under the mistletoe or drank too much "egg nog" and are with a total stranger by the fire, this song will set the mood for your holiday shenanigans or lack thereof.

"Silver Nights" - Sabrina Carpenter

This song came out last year and is by a child star so I wasn't overly excited about it, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. This song will end up stuck in your head and making you wish you had a cute relationship for the holidays.

"Christmas Time Is Here" - Daniela Andrade ft. Cutest Dog in the Galaxy

The title doesn't lie. The cutest dog in the world is in this video getting serenaded by Daniela Andrade's incredible voice. It's a much slower song than the rest on the list so grab a cup of hot chocolate and stare into the fire while you listen to this song.

"It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas" - Michael Buble

We all need some Michael Buble in our lives for Christmas. His incredible voice brings so much life to this classic song. This entire Christmas album of his is really amazing though, so if you like this song, check out the rest.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
