Are you stuck on what to purchase for Christmas?

As Thanksgiving celebrations end and the holiday season rolls in, people begin to stress about Christmas presents for their friends this year. As a fellow college student, I know that shopping for us can be hard but I also have some Christmas shopping tricks up my sleeve.

1. A Black NorthFace Jacket

You may think that this is "basic" but NorthFace jackets hold up for a long time and are incredibly warm. I tried going the cheap route by purchasing an off-brand jacket a year ago and all it does is shed fur. The nice thing about these jackets is that they do not shed anywhere as much fur and are very comfortable.

2. A Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker

Many colleges have a radio in their bathroom but sometimes we want to play whatever we want through our own speaker. With a waterproof Bluetooth speaker, we can keep our phone far enough from the water to keep it safe and the speaker close enough to the water to hear it.

3. Gift Cards

Every girl loves money and a good way to give it in a gift without feeling lazy is by getting a gift card to a place they love. I know that I personally love gift cards to places like Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Victoria's Secret, Target, and more.

4. Fuzzy Socks

Fuzzy socks are amazing, especially during the cold months. Many girls aren't picky about brands and will love fuzzy socks from Walmart but personally, I love the brand Cabin Socks (I also love regular Walmart fuzzy socks). The aloe-infused fuzzy socks are especially nice during the winter to help with the dry skin during the cold months.

5. Spotify Premium Subscription

Personally, with my major, I am not currently able to get a job so I had to cut off my Spotify premium membership which was crucial to my shower jams. Getting able to pick my songs and not having ads are very important to me and other girls I know so I think a lot of girls would appreciate the $5 a month subscription. Also, for a limited time, the subscription comes with a Hulu account!

6. Games

I love playing games with my friends in my dorm room but they are a little pricey to all buy myself so I know I would love to receive some. Some popular (and fun) games are Cards against Humanity, Phase 10, Yahtzee, Monopoly, and more!

Overall, I think your friend will love whatever you choose to get them and will realise how much love and thought you put into it. Have fun holiday shopping!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
