Some people love being bored. It's a time when you can just think about whatever you want or do whatever you want. Sometimes it's nice to be able to let go for a little while, but I cannot say that I am one of those people who likes to be bored. I like to be busy all the time and always have something I can do. So if you're like me and like to keep yourself on your toes, here is an extensive list of things to do when you're bored.

1. Take a big fat nap.

Sometimes all we need is a nap, and now is the perfect time to do it when we have the free time!

2. Read a book.

3. Call your friend.

4. If your friend doesn't pick up, be annoying and text her until she answers you.

5. FaceTime your best friend.

6. Or your significant other.

7. Or literally anyone else in your contacts list.

8. Get ahead on your never-ending to-do list (just kidding, I never do this).

My to-do list is never-ending, and yet I always find myself not doing it! Yikes!

9. Make a super awesome playlist on Spotify.

10. Share said playlist with all your friends (I mean all of them. Every single person in your recent text messages).

11. Watch every single YouTuber you have always wanted to watch.

12. Drink water. Because you know you don't drink enough.

13. Go look in the mirror and tell yourself you're awesome until you believe it.

14. Call your grandparents.

15. Call your parents.

16. Test if it is actually not possible to lick your elbow.

17. Go to target and buy the first 30 things that catch your eye.

18. Actually, why limit it to 30 things. Just buy everything you like. You'll probably buy the whole store.

19. Write a song about how much you love cheese.

20. And then go down and sing it to your cat.

Cats can honestly be the best listeners! We both know your song about cheese won't make the big bucks. But hey, your cat will love it.

21. Get in your car and drive around your neighborhood looking for stray cats you can adopt.

22. Make a dot planner to keep yourself organized.

24. Do the homework you should probably be doing right now anyway.

25. Go buy a Love Your Melon hat to be trendy while supporting a great cause!

I honestly love these trendy hats for a great cause! Get yours today!

26. Call your siblings. They probably miss you!

27. Take a nice bath to relax.

28. Or take a shower if you think that baths are gross (I mean, taking a bath is basically sitting in your own dirt?).

29. Learn a new language.

30. Go eat a salad.

31. Or be like me and go the unhealthy route by making a cake for yourself.

32. Go through all of your Snapchat memories to remember all the good times you had.

33. Get some friends together and have a photoshoot!

Nothing like a good photoshoot with friends!

34. Call someone up and go to brunch, lunch, dinner, or whatever meal it is the socially acceptable time for.

35. Give yourself a makeover.

36. Give your pet a makeover (just kidding, that's kinda cruel).

37. If you're religious, take some time to pray.

It can be hard to incorporate prayer into your everyday routine. Now is a good time to fit it in!

38. Take some time to journal about your thoughts.

39. Paint a picture or draw something fun.

40. Learn how to play the piano (if you have access to one).

41. Maybe do some "spring cleaning." You probably won't have time to at any other time.

42. Write a novel just because.

Nothing like writing a book from your own brain power!

43. Redecorate or rearrange your room into the dream room you have always wanted.

44. Do your hair.

45. Now might be a good time to do some laundry.

The basket has been overflowing for at least a week.

46. Have a concert for yourself in the bathroom mirror!

47. Write a note to someone you love and actually mail it.

There is nothing more special than a hand-written note to someone you love!

48. Spontaneously go surprise your best friend at work.

49. See what you can make from just the ingredients in your kitchen.

50. If it's nighttime, go outside and lie under the stars!

There are so many things that you can do if you are bored today, this week, this month, or even this year! Use this list as a springboard into all of the things the world has to offer! How can you be bored when there's so much to do?

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
