Although Christmas break is the perfect time to relax, spend time with family and friends, and watch movies, it doesn't mean we should forget about next semester! These are a few things you should try to do over break to make sure you have an amazing spring semester.

Fill out scholarships.

Many school scholarships are due in January or at the beginning of the semester. By getting a head start early, you won't be overwhelmed when you get back to school!

Figure out your schedule.

Look over your course schedule. Do you know where all of the buildings are? Is there anything required on the first day of class? You might want to reach out to professors, read any syllabi, or check eLearning for anything you might need.

Get textbooks.

This is a great thing to do early! It pretty much guarantees that the store will have the exact edition of that boring textbook you need. You can also get your notebooks, pens, and other supplies at that time too! This will give you more time to reunite with friends when you get back.

Search for an internship.

Looking for a summer internship? Get started early by searching LinkedIn or reaching out to your advisor. If you have a company in mind, reach out to them and let them know you're interested! You'll most likely get a quick response explaining how to apply.

Organize yo life

Make sure you fill out a planner or calendar. With a new semester comes a new class schedule, different work shifts, and more or less free time! Keeping things organized in the new year will keep you sane.
