5 Necessary Tips For Walking To Class

5 Necessary Tips For Walking To Class

Have you ever been walking before? Well duh, but did you know there was such a thing as walking etiquette? If not... no worries! I've got 5 necessary tips or commandments for walking on campus.

1. CAN YOU GO ANY FASTER?

If I am walking at a quick pace and you are practicing to be a turtle, please do as Ludacris says and GET OUT THE WAY! I understand that you aren't in a hurry to get where you're going, but for those of us that are please politely slide to the left and continue on your way.

2. ONE...TWO... WHAT DO YOU DO?

When walking, it's normal to make eye contact with someone walking in the opposite direction. In this case there are two things you can do. The Look Down (this is done when you get to the closer person you were making eye contact with and look at either your phone or on the ground). The next option would be the SILENT HEY (this is done again as the person gets closer you just simply smile and say hey without any sound coming out at all). I definitely go with the SILENT HEY all the time.

3. DO YOU NEED THE WHOLE SIDEWALK?

Dear Sir or Ma'am, I know you see me walking. Do you see how I chose to walk on the left? Could you not make me walk on the grass the closer we get to one another? Could you please slide over to the right ?

Thanks,

Annoyed!

4. DON'T BLOCK ME IN.

It's totally cool that you aren't walking to class by yourself like the rest of us. However, if the two of you are walking slow and I catch up to you, please DO NOT BLOCK ME IN! For instance, if I move to the left, don't you move to the left making it harder to get around.

5. JUST BE SMART.

Whatever you do as you walk to get an awesome education, just be polite!

So, if you didn't know, now you do! Be polite, and walk on!

Save another life, and share this post!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
