5 Tips I Have Learned In My Last Year Of School

During my last year of college, I have acquired a few skills and tips for others. Here are 5 things that you should know and that I learned in my senior year of college.

1. Take time for YOU!

This can be anything from a simple nap, to a day when you just take off and relax. De-stressing is key to having a good life, and making sure you do that helps with your life. It is okay that you miss school or an activity, but if you need a break, take one!

2. Relax

Things will workout in the end. Even if you are stressed and do not think your life is going places, it WILL! Take time to enjoy life, and relax a lot. It will be okay friend! (I have a hard time with this as I am stressed out a lot and cannot relax, but I will learn in time to enjoy life).

3. Talk to people

Even if you do not know anyone, take time to get to know people. It is okay to say hi to the nice looking guy or girl in class. Don`t be shy, say hello. It could also help with networking for future jobs.

4. Start looking and applying for jobs now

This is not a shock to any, but we are graduating soon guys! Go and start looking for jobs now even if you are afraid of not passing a course, you will and then you will need a job and money!

5. Go to events and enjoy your last year!

If you have not already, go to as many events as you can. Life and college are short, you will never (NEVER!) get this change to enjoy life and take things in. Thus my friends, enjoy your last year of school, and unless you are going to grad school, this will be the end of school forever! But never stop learning, and keep going in life!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
