There are times where you are stuck at home, exhausted from the work day. You shed your clothes off and change into the sweats you have molded yourself into. You can finally relax, kick back, and drink a bit of wine (or a beer, or a cocktail). It is absolutely up to you what you make of that night.

There is absolutely nothing on TV unless you are into those "fake" reality shows. So, you decide to get up from your seat and take a walk over to your movie cabinet, one you haven't touched in a while. You peruse the movie titles, deciding which one you want to pop into the DVD player. Why not pick a movie that is a classic? You know all of the lines and it has great music to go along with it. You also know that you will love it!

Now, which movie will you choose? There are so many classic movies that are great throwbacks. However, here is a list of 10 of my favorite throwback movies I can binge again and again:

1. Clueless (1995)

Who can resist such a classic rom-com? We can all relate to Cher in some aspect. Although we are not all rich, we understand the trials of high school. After all, this is such an iconic movie that modern artists utilize components for music videos such as Iggy Azalea.

2. Sixteen Candles (1984)

The quote says it all. This movie is relatable to all teens as they struggle to be seen as an adult. Sam wants the guy that will give her everything while she has to worry about being the "pure" girl of her class and also having her 16th birthday forgotten in exchange for her sister's wedding. Not only is Molly Ringwald such a character in her role, there are plenty of other actors that pull this movie together. Who can resist the name, Long Duk Dong?

3. Top Gun (1986)

Oh, that iconic volleyball scene makes every girl swoon. In my opinion, this movie is one of Tom Cruise's best roles. Even if you do not understand the aspects of flight and not a part of the military, everyone finds a reason to enjoy this movie. The music and the characters are fantastic!

4. Dirty Dancing (1987)

Now, you will definitely have the time of your life to this classic. Of course, we all don't have access to summer resorts where we meet the hot dance instructors. However, we have all had that forbidden love stage where we have had a crush on someone we shouldn't. The music is phenomenal in this movie and this lift is so iconic that it is consistently used in dance numbers to this day and TV shows.

5. Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986)

Of course, I had to end with this one. Who hasn't thought about playing hooky for the day from school or work? We may not have the same experience as Ferris himself. However, wouldn't it be nice to sing on a parade float or dine in a fancy restaurant? It is such an iconic movie that people utilize components of this movie for TV shows and movies to this day.

This may be my list of classic movies that I enjoy. However, there are plenty more. These are the ones that come to mind when I think "classic." Enjoy your down time with a classic movie anytime!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
