If you haven't heard of Tik Tok, it is a video sharing app that people across the world use to share their content. The content found on Tik Tok ranges from skits to pranks to helpful tips and tricks. There is no limit to what someone can create on the app. Since gaining popularity, Tik Tok has given a platform to a new generation of creators such as Charli D'Amelio, Chase Hudson and Addison Rae.

Now if you haven't downloaded the app yet, it is probably only a matter of time until you do. I have heard so many people say they would never download Tik Tok, only to see them on it a month later. I was also one of these people. I ended up downloading the app in August 2019 and have been using it ever since. Since joining the app, I've had a lot of different thoughts about it. So here are a few of my thoughts, that you just might relate to yourself.

1. Wait, so they are 16?

When I first joined Tik Tok, I was surprised how many 16-year-olds were on there and not because they are 16. The truth is a lot of teens on Tik Tok, don't look like teens. Most of them look older than me, and I'm almost 20.

2. Hold up, why is this really accurate.

Once you start spending a substantial amount of time on the app, you notice how accurate your "for you page" is. This is because it is specific to each user and is based on the content you watch on the app. That's why your page always seems to know your interests.

3. I could totally do this.

This thought could apply to two different scenarios. The first being when you see a doable idea on the app. For example, the whipped coffee everyone has been making. It could also just apply to making your own content. I'm sure everyone has seen a video at some point and said well I could have done that too.

4. I really hope no one I know sees this.

Now, this one only applies, if you have fallen into making your own content. I made my first Tik Tok video around two months ago, and my first thought was, I hope no one I know watches this. I still have this thought when I post videos; it is just inevitable now. At this point, I've learned to accept the "I saw your Tik Tok" text.

5. I spend way too much time on here.

This might be the most relatable one. Whether you downloaded the app to see what it is or if you are the next Tik Tok star, you probably have thought at some point that you spend way too much time on the app. Well, I know I have at least.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
