I recently just saw the "Beauty and The Beast" remake and let me tell you, if you haven't seen it yet, you are without a doubt missing out. I expected it to be a good movie, but it was honestly so much more enchanting and beautiful than I expected. Here are five thoughts I had while watching it.
1. Can I just please be Emma Watson.
Honestly, though, I had no idea she could sing. She was for sure a great wizard in "Harry Potter", but her portrayal of a beautiful bookworm who falls in love with a prince/beast/hottie honestly put Hermione Granger to shame. She possessed every bit of strength, beauty, love, and was the definition of a powerful female lead.
2. I wanted to punch Gaston the whole movie.
We all know that one guy who thinks he can get any girl and is completely in love with himself. Gaston's character might be dashing, handsome, and strong, but his actions make him completely irritating. His character really shows that beauty can sometimes only occur on the outside, and it's what's on the inside that truly counts. Plus, he is so mean to his adorable and comical sidekick Lefou.
3. Mrs. Pots and Chip make me want to be little again.
Throughout the entire movie I constantly wanted to hug Mrs.Pots and Chip. They were so kind-hearted and it shows the true connection between a mother and her child. The two are constantly looking out for each other, and I loved that.
4. Thank God I had 3D glasses on to hide my crying.
Walking into that theater I had absolutely zero intention of crying or even coming close to it...but I will admit that I cried maybe a little more than once. The tears just poured out of my 20-year-old eyes wishing that I could just be a 5-year-old admiring this movie instead of a stressed out college student. The movie is so magical and the music is so mesmerizing that you honestly can't help but cry.
5. The 'Beast' is seriously SO hot.
In the beginning when he was a bratty prince honestly I still thought he was smoking hot, but after he changed and Belle kissed him, his transformation from beast to human was so amazing. His long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes gave every woman in that theater the hots.
After reading this, I hope it gave you even more of a reason to see this film. It is completely worth it. Don't believe me? Ask the dishes.
