1. Please don’t make us do a long warm up.

You know that as soon as your teacher hits pause she's going to tell everyone to spread out for a group stretch. But! It won't be a normal one song stretch; it’ll be for like three songs and it'll stretch your body in places that you didn’t even know could be stretched.

2. You’re gonna go over what you taught last week right?

By the end of last week’s class you had the new choreography down, but right now…not so much! Everything that has come and gone through your mind in the last week has completely washed away any inkling of what was taught last class.

3. Okay…so…my body doesn’t move like that.

Your teacher starts teaching a new batch of choreography and just with the first move you know that your arms and/or legs are not going to look like what she just did…ever. But! Like the good student you are, you give it a shot and yes…you look like an idiot.

4. Why did I decide to take this class?

You start to rethink your entire decision to dance. Why do you choose to put yourself through the physical, mental, and emotional pain that being a dancer requires? Oh right…because you couldn’t be any other type of athlete if you tried.

5. I can totally pull this dance off if I just practice more outside of class.

Ha! Like that’s gonna happen…you forget to take a shower at least once a week and you want to try to remember to practice more often. Yea…okay…good try, kid!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
