Unless you're one of the lucky ones that live up north in Arizona, most of us have thought many, many, terrible things about the Arizona summer. Especially those in the Phoenix/Tucson Area. And whether you're like the heat or not, there comes a point in everyone's life during the summer when no amount of loving the heat can save you, and it is just plain miserable out.
But enjoy the cool weekend where it's only 105 degrees outside, because come Monday we're welcoming into Tucson 116 degree weather and 120 degree weather in Phoenix. Without further ado, here's 5 thoughts everyone in Arizona has during the summer.
1. Is it always this hot?
I've spent the past 16 years in Arizona, and I'm still surprised every summer at how hot it gets. And I would swear that it gets hotter every summer that I spend here.
2. Could I actually bake cookies on the sidewalk?
When it gets to the point in the summer heat where your feet burn through your shoes, this thought crosses everyone's minds, and it doesn't seem like that crazy of an idea.
3. Is it actually worth getting in the pool?
Getting in the pool requires going outside, and when the pool water just feels like you're getting in the bathtub, it's really not all that refreshing.
4. Does every store just turn the A/C down all the way? It's freezing in here.
It's that time of the year where it's sweltering outside, yet you still need a jacket anywhere you go where there's A/C so you don't freeze your ass off in a restaurant or movie theatre.
5. Is this what dying feels like?
Because if it's not, I don't want to know what it does feel like.
