Ever since Disney announced the release date for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Episode 7), fans from all over the world have been anxiously waiting and writing about their hopes, thoughts and hypotheses about what George Lucas, J.J. Abrams and Disney would have in store. At this point, I have already gone and seen the film twice because what else would I spend my money on? :)

Oh, my gosh! That was awesome!

I was practically speechless after I saw the film the first time and my mind was blown even more so after the second time. I loved watching episodes 1-6 throughout my childhood and I could not believe that I was getting the opportunity to see a Star Wars film in theaters.

When does Episode 8 come out?

Because I was so pumped after seeing The Force Awakens, I Google searched the scheduled release date for the next installment of the trilogy. Sadly, the next film is scheduled to debut May 2017, so I suppose I will have to be patient for the next year and a half.

I love/missed the original characters!

It was very exciting to see the original cast (Episodes 4-6) come back for Episode 7. Both times that I saw the film, the audience cheered the most when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) appeared on the screen. Of course, Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) were also fan favorites to see on the big screen again.

BB-8 is the cutest, little thing!

Although I do love R2-D2, BB-8 may have stolen my heart for good. He may be a robot, but he’s still pretty cute.

Who is Rey? Why is she important? What is her past?

Don’t get me wrong, I love female leads and Rey, but I couldn’t help but wonder where the heck she came from. She introduces herself as a scavenger from the planet of Jakku. However, by the end of the film, you will have a lot of questions running through your head about her. Many of the people that I know, including myself, hypothesize that Rey is in some way related to Luke Skywalker.

I have EXTREMELY high hopes for Episode 8. My hope is that it will give us some more insight on what happened when Episode 6 ended and before Episode 7 began. Can someone please invent a time machine so I could find out what happens next?!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
