Some people are dancers. Some people walk tight ropes. Some people just walk a straight line down the sidewalk without crashing into the random passerby. But not us. We are the clumsy ones. The people who run into walls at least once a week and often test the strength of the floor by crashing into it with our backsides. Clumsiness makes life hard for the average Joe, but we make it work anyways. So here's a list of the top five common dangers to clumsy people.
1. Stairs. Ahh, the Devil's personal playground. These little buggers will catch your toe on the way down and NOT catch your heel on the way up. They can be fallen on in either direction and are the number one cause of shin bruises in clumsy folk everywhere.
2. Wet Floors. *Takes tentative step forward* OK, just take small, easy steps forward. One foot in front of the oth- *BOOM* Butt to floor contact. Cool. Thanks again, lack of balance.
3. Ice. Basically, wet floors on steroids. Also, ice generally happens outside which doubles your chance of falling. Or breaking a bone. Or both.
4. Heights. If you generally have a hard time standing up at ground level, you will probably have just as much if not more trouble keeping steady while elevated.
5. Being around fragile objects. There is this constant fear that you are going to twist an ankle unexpectedly or slip on a loose corner of the rug, causing you to come crashing down on your great-aunt's special antique butter dish or something.
