We are already one week into the New Year and how many of you have already failed at your New Year's resolutions? I specifically did not make any New Year's resolutions for this exact purpose but for those of you who did make resolutions and don't think you'll be sticking to them, here are five things you can do that are more worthy of your time.
1. Make cookies
So often do we think "Hmmm, I'd love a warm chocolate chip cookie" but we never have the time to make them. Well friends, instead of sitting down with that journal and thinking of things to commit to for the year, spend your time whipping up a batch of chocolatey goodness.
2. Get a car wash
It's wintertime and the salt and sand used on the roads is wreaking havoc on our cars. Why do we keep putting off going to the car wash?? Time. Stop giving yourself anxiety when thinking about your future goals and relax to the soothing sounds of water and suds at the car wash.
3. Match your socks
You know what's worse than not keeping your New Years resolutions? Not being able to find matching socks. So put your resolution worries aside, crack open that sock draw and start matching!
4. Make your dentist appointment
No one likes to do it. No one likes the dentist. No one likes committing to something for an entire year which is how you found yourself here. So instead of committing to something for an entire year, commit to one hour with some random person poking around your mouth and grating at your gums!
5. Do your Christmas returns
With all of the holiday mumbo-jumbo we run out of time and we all get things for Christmas that either don't fit or that we would never be caught dead in. So head to the store to figure all of that out before the sales associates start talking behind your back about how you brought something that is now five months old back to the store looking for a refund.
