As the semester draws to a close, all college students begin to worry about one thing: finals. After five months of studying, group projects, and papers, it's finally time to start the week that could make or break your grade.
For some college students, finals week is a breeze after a whole semester of preparation. However, for the rest of us it's seven whole days of cramming, stress, and hoping for the best. This crazy time of the year can be divided up into five different stages:
1. Denial
It's the week before finals start, and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary yet. I mean, you have an entire week before tests start, so what's the big deal? Plus you only have a couple of more weeks to spend with your friends and your grades are relatively good, so going out, instead of pulling an all-nighter seems to be the obvious choice.
2. Anger
With every day that passes, you realize that you're getting closer to finals. You start to hate yourself for going out last night instead of studying, especially now that you remembered that one of your finals that you thought would be easy is actually cumulative.
3. Bargaining
You're beginning to get desperate, and it's showing. You ask everyone you have ever talked to in class if they want to study and begged your friend who took the class the semester before for all the wisdom they have.
You pray to God that if you can just pass your finals this semester, you'll never wait to study until the last minute again.
Depression
It's 1 a.m., you're attempting to pull your second all-nighter, and your finals begin tomorrow. Any last shred of hope you had is beginning to fade, and you feel yourself beginning to give up.
Acceptance
It's finally time for your first final and a strange sense of calmness has taken over you. After hours cramming studying at the library, you're somewhat prepared for whatever is about to come. Although you're a little delirious from your
