Life is super duper stressful... RIGHT?!
No matter how hard you try to stay positive and do the right thing in your daily life, you will, with out a doubt, fail at some point. Whether its simple like, spilling a drink all over your date and feeling super embarrassed, or something a little bit more serious like, losing that mediocre job that you worked too hard to get and now you're labeled as a "disappointment" to your family. The goal we all try and reach for is to get back up and try again. Well, that is easier said then done. I would love to remind everyone that as long as you're loving yourself and others, you are doing just fine.
As a human being, living in this crazy world, we will never be able to understand the absurd and inconceivable mysteries that make us cry, laugh, and love. But, we know that if we choose to "look on the bright side" in a given negative situation, it seems that our problems diminish quicker and the answers we need to fix our problems, arrive just on time.
There are five songs that are miracle elixirs in helping help us "look on the bright side"...
"Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin
Tell yourself this every day, and you shall live in abundance.
"All You Need Is Love" by The Beatles
What is the meaning of life? Well, we don't know.
But, we know that "all we need is love", and that's a good enough answer for me.
"Let It Go" by Idina Menzel
I know, its basic, but it's a really good song. Get a group of your friends, a pizza pie, three tubs of Ben & Jerry's and belt this. You will automatically feel so confident and happy that no one will be able to bring you down.
"No One Is Alone" by Stephen Sondheim
No matter how much you think you are alone. You are so wrong. It's too easy to blame yourself for anything and everything. It's also too easy to think that no one will ever understand you. No matter how specific your problems are, or how rid you think you are, or how bad you have messed up your life, you will never be alone. Someone will always be there to hold your hand, help you, give you a smile, or a warm hug. That is why this song was written. To reassure us humans, that we will alway have someone to fall back on. A mom, a friend, a therapist, even a stranger on the street has the power to make you feel better. You have to always know this and trust me that it is true. I wouldn't write it if it wasn't.
"Brave" by Sara Bareilles (covered by me)...
This is me literally trying to be "Brave" by covering the song "Brave" by singing it and playing it on piano. I love to sing, I love to be happy, and I should be brave enough to do that, without caring what people think of me.
Peace and Love.
