5 Signs You're Obsessed With Cats
Katelyn Einloth

People believe that cats are miniature, fuzzy demons who have one goal: take over the world. When I say I'm a cat person, people can't help but ask why. When you've owned more than one cat, you can't help but love them a little more than their canine counterpart. While I love dogs, cats will always be this girl's best friend. Over the years, I've come to terms that I'm slightly obsessed with felines and will probably grow up to be that crazy cat lady at the end of your street. If you fall into any of these categories, you might be as obsessed with cats as I am.

1. You own at least one cat.

No one can appreciate a cat's quirky nature unless you've owned a cat. In my case, I've owned three, currently own one fat fluffer and help raise my roommate's energetic kitten. But if you've had a cat at some point in your life, you know that cats aren't the snooty little demons like a lot of people make them out to be. You know that they're goofy fluffballs that you love and you'll probably own another one some point in your life.

2. You own at least one article of clothing with cats on it.

Who doesn't love fuzzy socks with cats on them? Or pajama pants covered in cats? Your obsession with cats carries on to any piece of clothing with cats on it. You can't help but stop what you're doing and have a mini freak-out about that sweatshirt with a giant cat on it. Or those cat leggings you saw in that store you love? Yeah, you screamed about those too. At some point, you've probably owned more than one item of clothing with a cat on it. If not clothing, you might own a mug or a cup with a cat on it. Your love for cats can't be tamed.

3. You cry when people show you pictures of their cats.

You know when someone shows you a picture of his or her baby, you're expected to gush with compliments? That's how you are with other people's cats, not children. When someone offers up a picture of his or her cat, you can never turn down the offer. Sharing pictures of your cat (or cats) is an emotional experience. Seeing a new cat always warms your heart and sometimes you can't help but shed a tear through the bonding experience of sharing pictures of your furry children.

4. You get offended when people say they don't like cats.

"Oh you don't like cats? Sorry, we can't be friends then." How could someone not love cats? They're such funny little creatures with their fuzzy little paws and shower you with love when they're in a good mood. In fact, you might love cats more than you love most humans. But how dare someone say that he or she doesn't love cats? A lot of people think that cats are snooty, aloof and rude. But that's fine. Everyone's entitled to his or her own opinions, even if they're wrong ones.

5. You can't wait to be the Crazy Cat Lady.

When can you officially change your name to, "The Crazy Cat Lady?" Is now too soon? You think about your life in 20 years and how you'll probably with a family of cats, not a husband and kids. Your dream is to live at the end of a street with your army of cats and not be bothered by anyone. That's all you need in life. People think being a "Cat Lady" is a bad thing. Obviously, they've never had a cat before and they're really missing out.

If you can relate to any of these topics, then you're probably obsessed with cats. That's a totally great thing. Cats are underrated puff balls who actually have a soul and aren't totally out to take over the world. Despite popular belief, cats are capable of showing affection and are cuddlier than most think. Once you take time to appreciate a cat, your whole perspective will change for the better.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
