During your college search, it's super important to make sure you pick a school that you know you're going to love and enjoy. Checking class sizes, learning about the campus environment, the majors offered, what student life is like, all of these things will determine whether you find your dream school. If you're interested in Trinity University, there are a few things that might not make this school the best fit for you.
You don't enjoy small classes where the professors are legitimately concerned with your wellbeing
If small classes aren't your thing, don't come to Trinity. If having highly qualified, incredibly talented professors who actually care about your well being as a person, and are always ready to help, isn't your thing, don't come to Trinity. Trinity's a pretty small school, and it prides itself on offering small classes that allow for much more student professor relationships. If you feel like you'd rather get lost in a huge classroom of 100 plus people, definitely don't come to Trinity. The average class size at Trinity is about 20 people, the smallest class I've ever taken having only eight students. Trinity's professors are also highly qualified, almost all of them being published in some way, writing and doing research on topics you can't even understand. If you're not into any of that, Trinity might not be the best choice for you.
You hate having a huge range of extracurricular activities to get involved in
If you're not into choices, don't choose Trinity. If you don't want a wide variety of extracurricular activities to choose from, Trinity may not be for you. With a huge range of different varsity sport teams, intramural sports teams, clubs, and even local Greek life, Trinity has something for everyone. You will never get bored at Trinity, and will most likely be a little bit too involved, but if you'd rather sit in your room on the weekends and not have anything to do, I wouldn't suggest coming to Trinity.
You can't stand the thought of a breathtakingly beautiful campus
If you're looking for a concrete campus spread out over miles, Trinity is not the right place for you. With a small campus covered in trees and beautifully designed buildings, Trinity has one of the most beautiful campuses I've ever seen. With greenery all over campus, and even a small Trinity garden, you never feel like you're stuck in a concrete jungle. If the more industrial look, with grey buildings and boring landscape is more what you're looking for, I wouldn't even bother coming to Trinity.
You're really looking for small, run down dorms that are almost uninhabitable
If you're looking to live in a dorm that's about the size of a closet, Trinity won't work for you. While some dorms are older than others, each has their own charm, and they're some of the nicest dorms I've ever seen. Almost every summer, one or two dorms is completely renovated, giving new and current students the chance to live in a brand new building. If you're looking for too many people in one room, and the chance to share a bathroom with the whole building, Trinity won't be your best bet. With only two people in a room, and a bathroom connected to another room, only four people have to share one large bathroom. But, if you don't like the sound of any of that, just don't come to Trinity.
If you HATE cats
If you hate cats, Trinity won't be your best bet. Trinity has a great program on campus where they take in feral cats, spay and neuter them, and make sure that they are all well fed and taken care of. The 'Trinicats' call Trinity's campus home just like the students, so if the thought of cuddly cats on your campus isn't appealing, you really won't like Trinity.
