5 Signs You're And Always Will Be A Daddy's Girl

Growing up as a daddy's girl is honestly the best thing. A girl's father is the first man she ever falls in love with. My dad is my hero, and every fellow daddy's girl will agree with what I'm saying. These are the best parts of being a daddy's girl!

1. He's the one you go to.. for EVERYTHING.

Whenever you have a bad day, or just need someone to talk to, your dad is always there. He's the only person that you can talk to about anything and know that he will not judge you.

2. You did, and continue to do, everything together.

Growing up, wherever he went, you went. To the store, the garage, or even to get the mail. Personally, my favorite thing to do with my dad is fishing. Sometimes, he would let me skip school, and we would fish all day and create amazing memories together. I continue to fish with my dad today, and we still have so much fun together. We are so competitive, and can and will make everything a game/competition. In the picture, we were at Disney, and made sure to keep track of who had more points.

3. He is your built-in best friend.

Sometimes I forget that he's my dad, because of how amazing of a friend he is. He knows how to put my mind at ease when I'm stressing over something. He knows exactly how to make me laugh, even if I'm not in a good mood. We have a whole lifetime of inside jokes that only the two of us understand. I still have notes that he wrote me when I was just a little girl. Daddy is the best kind of friend.

4. You have an unbreakable bond.

Obviously, you are going to fight and annoy each other. But, you always come back to one another. Because of the bond you share, your father needs to approve of the man that you will marry and obviously walk you down the aisle. I would not want any other man walking beside me on that special day besides my father. Your father brings out the best parts of you, and you love him even more for it.

5. You always want to make him proud.

You constantly search for his approval in everything you do, whether it be school, work, or what car you drive. You always make sure that you are not disappointing him. In your mind, that is the worst thing you could do.

Being a daddy's girl is the most amazing thing that I have ever experienced. Dad, I love you to the moon and back again. Thank you for being such an amazing dad and role model. I do not know where I would be without you. Thank you for believing in me and loving me unconditionally.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
