5 Reasons You Should Love Chris Evans

Chris Evans is one of my all-time favorite people. No, I have not met him and based on the way my life goes I probably will not ever meet him (sad face). But he's still one of my favorite people. And this is either because I have fallen victim to some incredible PR and celebrity image management, or because he's simply a great and relatable human. I'm really hoping it's the second of those two options.

Anyway, here are five reasons that should make you like him at least a little bit, too:

1. He Loves Disney

He loves Disney so much. You honestly just have to witness (watch his interviews on YouTube) it to understand. You can watch this short interview to see just a little bit of his love for all things Disney or risk diving into the depths of Tumblr and YouTube to find all of the incredibly entertaining interviews where Chris expresses his love.

2. He's A "Serious Actor"

Chelsea Handler invited some of the cast members of "Captain America: Civil War" to a dinner-interview-event-thing and she asked Chris if he "takes acting seriously." You can see his response at about 0:13 in this video. The point of this isn't to make it seem like Chris doesn't take his job seriously because I don't think that's the case at all. The point is to show that he has fun doing something he enjoys. He laughs at himself all the time and shows people it's okay to be a complete dork while also taking your job seriously.

3. He Actually Cares About Raising Awareness

Before he followed through with his 22 Push-Up Challenge, he explains why he's doing it and why it's important which a lot of people don't care to do. He accepts things like this and the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and talks about climate change and other things while also donating and raising awareness for these important issues. (Bonus: You can see Chris with his dog in the Push- Up Challenge video and with his family in the Ice Bucket Challenge video. How precious.)

4. He Hates Spiders, Too

He gives quite the explanation in this interview, but I have to say he's not wrong. It's refreshing to see celebrities and people we see in the media acting like normal humans and being able to relate to them, even if it's something as simple as disliking the same things. It's good to be reminded that they're just like us except that more people know things about them. Just hope that you're not the one who has to take care of a spider if one were to be around the two of you while you're together.

5. He's Just Plain Goofy

He's actually hilarious. And his humor and personality come out in ways and at times you don't really expect it to. I went ahead and gathered some examples for you. You're welcome.

He's funny and goofy and I like it. That's all there is to it.

Bonus: He calls himself a meatball

And even if all of these reasons are just what his PR team wants us to see, it's working and I'm only going to be a little bit upset with the fact that I fell for it.

(I give you permission to judge me for writing this article and for taking the time to sort through gifs on Google and Tumblr. I'm judging me, too, so it's okay.)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
