1. Well... it's FALL!
While spring is my absolute favorite season (there's nothing like the first day that you don't have to wear your heavy winter jacket anymore), I'm also in love with seeing the leaves change and wearing my favorite sweaters, scarves and boots again. The cooler air feels good after a hot summer and there's nothing like the crunch of leaves under your feet or bonfires on a chilly autumn night. Fall makes everything feel cozy and homey and that is the absolute best.
2. Two words: Pumpkin. Farms.
When I was little, my mom used to take me to this pumpkin farm where I'd pick out a pumpkin to carve and get lost in a big corn maze and nearly give her a heart attack when I disappeared. There was also a pumpkin farm about 10 minutes away from that one that my grandma and grandpa would always take me to. The farm would dress pumpkins up like characters from different movies, had a haunted maze, hay rides and a petting zoo.
3. Pumpkin EVERYTHING.
Pumpkin carving, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin air fresheners, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin painting, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pies. Nothing screams fall like anything pumpkin.
4. Caramel apples.
I know it's fall when I walk into the grocery store and I see these bad boys everywhere. If I'm being completely honest here, I was eating one when I wrote this article.
5. Halloween, DUH!
Even though I'm away at college, I always come home for Halloween. I love passing out candy at my grandma's house and having homemade chili afterwards. But before the actual day of Halloween, they have the "13 Nights of Halloween" on ABC Family, featuring some of the BEST Halloween movies out there. I love to decorate my room with pumpkin and ghost hangers and maybe some fake spiderweb. And who can forget November 1st? Half-priced candy day!!!!
