Bill Nye is back, and our childhood selves are so happy about it. Go ahead and put it in your calendar: Friday, April 21.

5 Reasons Why Bill Nye's New TV Show Is The Best Thing To Happen In 2017

I don't know about you, but I grew up watching Bill Nye every week during science class, and ever since the first episode I have been obsessed. I was devastated when his show ended.

So, in case you live under a rock and haven't heard, Bill Nye is getting his own series on Netflix, called "Bill Nye Saves The World" and it is about to bring back all the middle school science class memories. It's set to be released Friday, April 21st of this year. And here is why BNSTW is going to be the best thing to happen on Netflix in 2017:

1. All of the special guests:

Bill Nye has invited a handful of stars to be featured on his show. Including: Alton Brown (Good Eats, Cutthroat Kitchen), Karlie Kloss, Zach Braff, Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Tim Gunn (Project Runway), and Steve Aoki, need I go on?

2. The topics:

GMO's, Technology, Climate Change, Dispelling Myths, Sex, Alternative Medicine, just to mention a few. The "Science Guy" is going to cover topics more suitable for grown ups, since we're no longer amused by science fair projects (i.e. baking soda volcanoes)

3. IT'S BILL NYE!!!

The scientist we all watched growing up is back again, and better!

4. It's on Netflix:

so you can plop down on the couch and binge watch every episode released in one day (no judgement, it's educational!)

5. You might actually learn something

Bill Nye guarantees an entertaining show, but if you're lucky you might even take something away from the episodes.
