Gossip Girl Will Ruin Your Life

XOXO, (lover of) Gossip Girl.

Prior to college, I never appreciated the binge watching of Netflix shows. My friends would go on and on about Lip from Shameless and the intriguing plot in Stranger Things. For whatever reason, none of it was enough to force me into the routine of binge watching.

Eventually I gave in and began my Netflix obsession with Shameless over the summer. It took me months to complete the entire show, but after finishing it, I realized I had an obsession.

My roommate convinced me to start Gossip Girl, and ever since, as may who have watched the season could prob agree, my life hasn't been the same.

1. Serena & Blair

Serena and Blair have the most genuine friendship I have ever witnessed, which is mainly why my heart breaks each time they sneakily plot sabotage against one another. Despite the countless bickers and harsh attempts to destroy each others' lives, they always come around and continue being BFFs.

2. Rufus & Lily

Without spoiling the entire first season for anyone who has yet to watch Gossip Girl, there are too many forces against Rufus and Lilly being together. It truly is heartbreaking to watch two people who are deeply in love with each other not be together because of both their own stubbornness and external forces. But I am, and always will be, team L & R.

3. Upper East Side Life

After every single episode I realize my goal in life is to live on the upper east side of Manhattan. Serena, Blair, and the rest of Constance wearing Chanel and Gucci like it's their job is one of the most life-ruining aspects of the show. Just imagine a life filled with mimosa brunches and private limos on the reg.

4. Chuck & Blair

I saw Chuck and Blair coming from the start. However, I wasn't too sure how I felt about it. I am now halfway through season two and I could not be more #TeamClair. Chuck has turned into a completely different man, and Blair is kept down-to-earth with his endless love.

5. Chuck Bass

One word: beautiful. I never understood the obsession with Chuck Bass until the end of season one. But once he gets passed his devious, player ways, it is much easier to fall in love. Aside from his face (obviously) what gets me the most is his dedication to Blair's happiness.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
