Many people assume a vacation needs to be in the Caribbean or somewhere eight hours away from home. This is not entirely true. Of course going to Aruba and The Bahamas is amazing, and trust me it is, but going to a simple beach house will take all your worries away. I have had amazing trips to Aruba, Dominican Republic, Mexico and The Bahamas, but some of my favorite memories are at a beach house. A beach house can be relaxing, beachy and make you rethink spending tons of your money on the Caribbean. Here are some reasons why spending a week or two at a beach house will make you consider that this is a perfect summer vacation.
1. It's only a block from the beach.
A block from the beach and then you are there. You wake up around 10 a.m., pack lunch and then head to the beach. Being this close to the beach is perfect because you can go back for lunch, the bathroom or just freshen up from being out in the sun. Also, going for a run is perfect because you are already on the beach in a matter of a block.
2. There's a constant smell of the ocean.
Everything you own will smell like the ocean. Clothes, bedding and couches and it does not even bother you. The smell of the ocean is amazing and it makes the whole experience ten times more worth it. Hence why it is called the beach house.
3. Perfect sunsets.
Every night there are perfect sunsets and you can walk down to the beach to enjoy them. Going to the beach at night is one of my favorite things to do and I love listening to the waves crash while a beautiful sunset is setting.
4. Dinner and BBQs.
After a long day at the beach, you sit down for a great BBQ dinner. Being at a beach house allows you to cook your own meals and go out to restaurants. Nothing beats your dad's steaks and hamburgers with a nice cool breeze outside. Sitting outside, eating and drinking is the best way to end a beach day.
5. Outdoor showers.
The best are the outdoor showers that only beach houses will have! These showers are 10 times better than indoor showers. Being outside is refreshing to your skin and it is just easier than going indoors. You are usually full of sand, so being outside, you won't have to worry about sand getting inside the bathroom.
