It took long enough, but spring is finally here, bringing warm weather, the slight breeze and sunshine. Because I've lived in Cincinnati my entire life, you'd think I would have this whole Ohio weather fiasco down, but alas, I do not. I struggle with this strange weather just like all of you. However, it seems that Cincinnati has finally made up it's mind, and it looks like spring is here for the remainder of its time. To celebrate this amazing weather, here are a few perks of spring that we can all start to look forward to.
1. No more weather confused outfits.
I think we can all agree it's been quite difficult finding the right outfit for the day. With it having been 30 degrees in the mornings and mid 50's early 60's in the afternoons, we find ourselves carrying around a winter coat once it gets to be about noon. But don't worry, those days seem to be behind us until next year!
2. Picnic weather.
This is the one I'm probably most excited for. I have been wanting to be able to go outside, find a tree to sit under and enjoy a nice picnic. Needless to say, I'll definitely be having a picnic this weekend.
3. Open-toe shoes.
It's always a great feeling when you get to stow away your boots, but especially for the ladies, no more riding boots or booties with dresses. We can finally bust out the sandals and wedges.
4. Sleeping with the window open.
I absolutely love this. I love falling asleep to a soundless night outside and waking up to the sound of birds and a cool breeze. It's seriously the best thing ever.
5. Evening walks.
One of my absolute favorite things to do this time of year is go to the Smale Riverfront Park and take a walk along the Roebling Bridge, and this is the perfect weather to do that in. If you're in Cincinnati, you should definitely take a trip downtown while the weather is nice.
