Enjoying the fresh air while the summer weather lasts is a necessity whether you are a local or are visiting.

1. Zinque

Zinque is one of my favorite outdoor spots located in the heart of West Hollywood. The dining experience is an up-scale French casual, yet trendy restaraunt perfect for brunch and dinner dates with friends. The patio has beautiful trees scattered about the tables and lit with string lights romantically for night. There food is absolutely amazing. My favorite dish on the menu is the "Le Bowl" which offers a cauliflower rice alternative to their regular base. Definitely check this out!

2. Il Pastaio

Ill Pastaio is a classic Italian restaurant known to all native Beverly Hills locals for its outstanding pasta dishes and romantic outdoor patio. It is definitely on the expensive side, but worth the prices for their lengthy well-executed menu and dining atmosphere. They even have a pasta on the menu called a "Justin Bieber" that I known to be his favorite order there.

3. Tacos Tu Madre

Tacos Tu Madre is an adorable outdoor restaurant with a trendy patio and lengthy taco, burrito and bowl menu. There creative taco creations are some of the best in Los Angeles. You must try their unorthodox salmon tempura taco as well as their unique breakfast taco. The best thing about the menu is the ability to order multiple types of tacos to satisfy your cravings. Their frozen Horchata made with oat milk is one of my favorite beverages to pair my meal with.

The Ivy At The Shore is by far my favorite birthday/ special occasion restaurant. It is located on Ocean Avenue, only a short walk to the Santa Monica boardwalk. They have an incredible sea-food incorporated brunch menu and summer fruit cocktails. They recently created a patio in front of their restaurant so that they could serve their famous food in a safe health environment.

5. Elephante

Elephante is also located in Santa Monica and is an exlusive spot that requires reservations far in advance. Their outdoor elevated dining patio is set lounge-style with a beautiful view of the ocean and palm trees on Ocean Avenue. They have some of the best burrata and cacao e pepe pizza on the planet. Elephante is the best place for romantic date nights and summer nights with friends to watch the beautiful sunset over the horizon while eating some of the best reconstructed Italian food Los Angeles has to offer.

This is only a short list of the thousands of open restaurants for outdoor seating in and near the Los Angeles area that are worth checking out!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
