Austin, Texas is full of the best places to eat, drink, and snack. So naturally- they have some very sweet spots for ice cream. Check out the list I compiled of the best places for ice cream, no matter what your flavor preferences are.

Lick

An Austin original, Lick Honest Ice Cream has flavors that are to die for! Inspired by the different goodies that Texas has to offer, you can find seasonal flavors such as Lady Bird Lavender Crisp and Cilantro Lime. Mmm. In addition, they have flavors on the everyday menu, including these two: Goat Cheese, Thyme, & Honey or Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint. Their unique flavors and fresh, pure ingredients make this an all around great ice cream shop.

Amy’s

An Austin favorite. With many different locations (12 to be exact), you’re bound to find one in your neighborhood. In the 30 years that they have been around, Amy’s has created over 1,000 flavors! Each shop has their standard seven flavor options and the rest of their offerings rotate and vary by location. So take your pick on ice cream and then add Crush’ns or toppings to make your own unique sundae.

Sweet Ritual

This sweet spot specializes in vegan ice cream, so there is something for everyone- no matter what type of diet you have. They make every batch of ice cream right in the store, from scratch. They’ve perfected their flavors- like toasted coconut or unicorn poop. Two women opened this shop up in 2011 and are the only two owners, even today!

Cow Tipping Creamery

Soft serve ice cream from a food truck. The ice cream from Cow Tipping Creamery itself is delicious on its own, but they are well known for their amazing topping ideas, which they call stackers. Their sundaes are strategically made, where the toppings are stacked so you get the delicious flavors in each bite- any ice cream lover knows that you need goodness in every bite!

Prohibition Creamery

Alcohol and ice cream- what better combo is there? Prohibition Creamery offers ice cream and vegan sorbets with some of your favorite spirits, so there is something for everyone. They have special flavors of the day and that’s just half of it. You can pick from their toppings like bourbon whipped cream or espresso fudge, just to name a few. DELISH!
