5 Netflix Shows You Should Binge-Watch This Summer
Gladhouse

For all the college students, you are most likely done all your finals. For those in high school, you're getting close to the end of the year, and summer is just around the corner.

Everyone else, it's about that time where we spend our days in the sun, and the nights on Netflix. I know, I know, you just finished your favorite TV series and you suddenly have no idea what to watch. Well, I'm here to save the day.

I'll be giving you some shows that I've watched, some not fully, but have loved. I hope you'll find one of your favorite new shows on here!

1. New Girl.

I'm currently watching this and I'm IN LOVE. If you love stupid humor, this one is for you. The episodes are only 30 minutes at most, so the episode is always jam-packed with drama. It's basically about a weird girl named Jess (Zooey Deschanel) who lives with three guys as they all go through their 30s together.

It's silly. It's weird. It's hilarious. Definitely recommend. Schmidt is my favorite.

2. Baby Daddy.

Again, if you are into silly comedy, this one is for you. It tells the story of Ben who has to start "adulting" when he unexpectedly finds his child at his doorstep. He lives with his best friend and brother, and the wildest stuff happens throughout the seasons.

3. One Day at a Time

This show is absolute gold. Super funny and light-hearted, but also delves into serious topics like racism and homophobia. This show is the story of a Cuban family who go through things that we can all probably relate to in one way or another. This show shows the true meaning of family, and what it's like to always have each other's back. #TeamAbuela

4. The Vampire Diaries.

I know what you're thinking. Super corny. But let me just say, it ain't your average Twilight story. It not only has an ultimate love story, but shows the importance of brotherhood and friendship. It doesn't just talk about romance, but it has a lot of action also. And no, it is not just blood-sucking weirdos on screen.

It actually gets really intense, and stays strong through all 8 seasons. I started watching this in high school, but even now six years later, I have a huge appreciation for this show. I've laughed, I've cried, I've had post-show depression after I finished. Here's a secret too: I cried for a solid five minutes after I watched the last episode. It was that bad. WATCH IT.

5. Black Mirror.

THIS SHOW. I did not expect to be so addicted to it, but it definitely lives up to it's reputation. It is a show that you can watch randomly and whenever you want to. It is a show full of crazy mind-messing games.

You never really expect what is going to happen in the episode because the endings are always CRAZY. Definitely something for people who like thrillers and things that make you really think. The first episode of the series isn't the best, so don't let that get you. Maybe watch the second episode first...

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
