Since being in school, I have had a bunch of time taken out for schoolwork, but while I am not working or doing homework, I am watching the latest and greatest that Netflix has to offer. I am a fan of many different genres; I never just stick to watching the same thing over and over again. I very much like the cinematic differences between genres and being able to have access to all this imagination makes me believe that anything's possible.
1. The 100
I love this show so much. It came out my senior year of high school, but I didn't really get into it until last year. My mom was watching it and I am always fascinated by end of the world, dystopian type shows and after watching a part of it, I fell in love with the whole idea. The second season had me literally SHOOK.
2. Shameless
Okay, this is one of the best shows, period. You get to watch these kids and adults grow into these characters and it sometimes doesn't even feel like a show, but like watching the intense struggle of poverty in America outside of suburbia. Also, Lip is really hot, just thought I'd point that out.
3. Skins
I don't talk about this show as much as I should because let me tell you, not a lot of shows hit you as hard and as real as this one does. It is set in the UK with real teenagers and shows the harsh reality of drugs, alcohol, sex and relationships and how they affect these kids lives.
4. House of Cards
Now, this show I didn't get into for awhile, kinda being one of those shows I thought would just go nowhere after awhile. Boy, was I surprised. It is set with the President and his cabinet and what happens when bad people take office. It is satirical and so good to watch and you feel so bad watching it and loving it. That's a lot to take in, isn't it?
5. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
This show is almost too funny. OK, I kinda get annoyed by Kimmy sometimes but Titus saves it every time. He is half the reason I watch the show and I am not ashamed of mentioning that. A woman who was in a doomsday cult comes out and wants to explore the world in NYC. That pretty much is self-explanatory.
