For everyone desperately in need of some new country music, 2018 has a lot to look forward to. While there is reason to believe that some big artists like Carrie Underwood (last album released in 2015), Keith Urban (last album released in 2016), Florida Georgia Line (last album released in 2016), and Sam Hunt (last album released in 2014) will be releasing new music this year, nothing is guaranteed yet. However, there are quite a few great albums to look forward to this year, including one from Dierks Bentley. Here are five albums coming out in 2018.
1. "Hallelujah Nights" by LANCO
Best known for their recent hit, "Greatest Love Story," this will be LANCO's debut album in the country world. After the success of their EP, however, there's no doubt this album will be a hit.
2. "The Mountain" by Dierks Bentley
Dierks Bentley is a country legend, with hit songs on the charts for over 10 years. His most recent release, "Woman, Amen," is already climbing the country charts and is getting fans super excited for this upcoming album. Bentley even preformed last year at Michigan's major country festival, Faster Horses.
3. "Here's to You" by Montgomery Gentry
The Montgomery Gentry suffered a major loss last year when Troy Gentry, half of the duo, was killed unexpectedly in a helicopter crash. The duo was most known for songs such as "Something to be Proud Of" and "My Town." Eddie Montgomery chose to keep the duos name in honor of Troy, and this is the first album he has released since Troy's death. "Here's To You" is in honor of Eddie's singing partner and friend, as he recovers from the loss.
4. "Seasons Change" by Scotty McCreey
Scotty McCreery was discovered after winning the tenth season of "American Idol." He has released three albums before his upcoming album, with major hits on the charts such as "The Trouble With Girls" and "I Love You Big." McCreery's new album is very anticipated after the successful release of the song "Five More Minutes" just last year.
5. "Golden Hour" by Kacey Musgraves
Kacey Musgraves started out by releasing three of her own, self-produced albums. Since then, Musgraves signed with a label and has released two popular albums with them: "Same Trailer Different Park" and "Pageant Material." One of Musgraves' songs, "Follow Your Arrow," really helped put her on the map, along with "Merry Go Round." Musgraves' last album was released in 2015, with a Christmas album released in 2016.
