Since Christmas time is coming upon us, or at least the month of December will be here in roughly two weeks. I've decided that to help me get into the spirit instead of blasting Christmas music, more specifically Mariah Carey's Christmas album, I would do something else. I can not wait to decorate the tree, hang up lights, and eat my weight in food. But get to prepare myself for this "amazing time of year", I will be binge-watching Christmas-themed movies no matter what they may be so here are the top 5 Netflix movies you should watch in preparation for Christmas.

1. "The Christmas Prince"

This movie is definitely a B (and that is a generous rating) but most likely C rating film. I am one of those people who will still watch really crappily produced or 'bad' movies just to see if they are bad... but I do this a lot, especially with romcoms. But I would give this film a 7/10. It has a solid 'plot twist' in lament terms, characters you can relate to in some form or another, and an adorable love story in the works. I am a sucker for a good love story. It's also a Netflix original film, so if that means anything!

2. "Deck the Halls"

A FREAKING CLASSIC. Also, this movie is so funny so I definitely give it an 8/10 on my rating scale. It'll have your funnybone laughing all night... haha, get it? Funnybone? A comedy?? Okay no... I'll stop now.

3. "Miracle on 34th Street"

Okay now, this is an actual classic and makes my heart swell, just like the Grinch's, by like 134x its size and is definitely a 10/10.

4. "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

Okay, this one isn't on Netflix but it is about Christmas so I say that the movie gets a pass. I love this movie so much but it can be a little creepy for some viewers (hey no one said Tim Burton's movies were all sunshine and rainbows) so I'll give it a 9/10.

5. "The Night Before"

10/10 especially if you love raunchy comedy, Seth Rogen's style of humor, and Joseph Gordon Levitt (because meow!) that you have got to watch this movie with friends this Christmas.

So what are you waiting for? You better get to bingeing!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
