Makeup is one of those things you can't get enough of when you love it and is constantly updating itself and making new trends. It's constantly revolving and you can always experiment seeing what you like and don't like. But with makeup comes the trends, where a bunch of people get obsessed with a certain look or certain product. Here are 5 of some of the most popular trends of 2016 that we're still obsessed with.
1. Cut Crease
These beautiful looks have been all the rage lately in the makeup community, with tons of tutorials on Youtube, to classes they are everywhere and for good reason. They are super gorgeous for any special occasion, they can spice up any look and can be used with any colors and still look the same beautiful way.
2. Liquid Lipstick
These being one of the most, if not the most popular thing on the market, they are amazing on their own. They are usually some of the most talked about products when on makeup articles, youtube videos and on many if not most recommended lists on makeup sites. If and when you go on a makeup site that sells them, I can guarantee they are one of the top selling things. In personal opinion, I've fallen into the trend and fallen in love with it. They are some of the greatest inventions, with mostly great formulas they are quick and easy so it doesn't require thinking.
3. Highlight
This never ending trend of being highlighted to the gods is definitely the most popular trend of the year. Being a lover of highlight myself, I can't resist to love the highlight trend of this year. While I have to careful because my face is oily/combination I have to make sure I don't look like a total greaseball. But non-the-less it's still a great trend. It gives you this glow that makes you look youthful and brings out your natural light. It's something everyone no matter the skin type everyone can love and get into.
4. Faux Freckles
This newly found trend has been sweeping over the internet like wildfire.While I personally can't get on this trend since I already have natural freckles, it is something everyone seems to be trying to get. People have been making tutorials on how to get natural looking freckles, posting pics of them with faux freckles etc. I wonder why everyone has been obsessed with this trend, while I have natural ones like I said I can't get on board with this trend since they show through makeup anyways. I think it is a silly trend non-the-less but good for people who don't have freckles but want to have some for the night.
5. Spidery Lashes
This being one of the more crazy trends, it's a trend I kind of like believe it or not. It's a weird yet cool trend. It's pretty much making sure your lashes are volumized and clumpy but not to the point it looks gross, but just slightly more than usual. It's a great trend for someone who may not have long lashes.
