Makeup is art. Makeup is a way of expression. Makeup to me is something I never thought I'd be so obsessed over. I've gone from ameteur to professional in the course of four years. I've learned which products work for me and which don't. I decided to show you all my 5 current favorite products.
1. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
I've tried many foundations in the past few years of wearing makeup and this one is definitely my favorite. It provides the perfect coverage that I desire and it shows up flawlessly on your face. It's a liquidy consistency and the best part is that you can use two and a half pumps and you're good to go. It's definitely a foundation you can build up or wear very little.
I get asked on a daily basis what foundation I use and this is it. My color is Light Beige. My second favorite foundation would be the Urban Decay All Nighter but it has been awhile since I've used it since I'm extremely loyal to the Born This Way Foundation.2. 2. Kat Von D Lock it LeatherWeight Primer
Before I put on my foundation this primer from Kat Von D's collection is my ultimate moisturizing primer. I used to use Elf's moisturizer but once I tried this one I never went back. The consistency of the Kat Von D Primer is between thick and light.
You only need a small amount to cover your face. If you are like me with a mixture of both oily skin and dry skin this one is a good one to use. It doesn't make your face sticky and it doesn't over-dry any of your problem areas.
3. Maybelline Aged-Instant Concealer
Just like the Born This Way Foundation, this is another product that I am extremely loyal to--I might never get another concealer again. This concealer is extremely affordable and it's one of the few drugstore makeup concealers that I can say are worth every penny. It adds great coverage and has little to no mess which is definitely a plus for me. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a total mess when it comes to liquids and makeup.
4. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
If you're looking for great lash volume without using fake lashes, this mascara can definitely give those results. I go through so many of these tubes because I have naturally long lashes and I love to add more volume to them on a daily basis. This mascara definitely gives me what I want and more.
5. Makeup Revolution Strobe Highlighter
I have the shade in Holographic Glow and it's amazing. It's 100% what you would expect a holographic glow to be like. It's incredibly pigmented so if you just want to glow without looking harsh, just brush lightly.
But since I love to glow so much it's blinding, it's not a problem for me. I have many highlighters that work just as well but I just purchased this one and I can't stop wearing it. Plus, it retails for $6 so you don't have to break the bank to glow.
