The 5 Best Korean Dramas

Here are some of my favorite Korean dramas to date!

In American television, we have our favorite shows like "The Walking Dead" or "Days of Our Lives." In Korean television, they have the same things called "Kdramas" or daily dramas which I, myself, love to watch. They all have their own cliches and predicable moments as do a lot of shows. There are so many different types of shows that can be found on Korean Television as well as variety talk shows! Here are just a few of my favorite Korean TV shows to date in no particular order:

1. Descendants of the Sun

Descendants of the Sun is the perfect drama for that person who wants drama and action all wrapped into a ball of war and doctors! This is one of the shows on this list I have seen three or four times. Fun fact, the lead male, Song Joong Ki, and female lead, Song Hye Goy, are soon to be married in real life! How cute!

2. Duel

While watching this action drama, I found myself screaming at the screen when something didn't go as planned. I got myself attached to the two main characters which resulted in a lot of moments where I wanted to reach out and hug them! This action riddled show will keep you on your toes the whole time.

3. Running Man

Running Man is everything you would expect from a show called Running Man, lots of running! From name tag elimination to mind games, this show is something you really need to experience yourself!

4. Cheese in the Trap

This show is the most heartwarming and eventful slice of live drama you will ever see. Based on the original webtoon, Cheese in the Trap was very popular when it first came out. I suggest that everyone watches this show even if it's not your cup of tea because I can guarantee you will fall in love just like I did.

5. Return of Superman

Love children? Love watching great father and child relationships? This show is for you! It follows a variety of celebrity fathers and their children while they go about doing things like sit around the house or zip lining! It's absolutely adorable!
